Our Partners

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Colorado is able to grant numerous wishes each year to Colorado children facing life-threatening illnesses through the generosity of the following partners.

    Bill Phillips' Transformation Challenge is a 12 week health and fitness program where participants are urged to work off unhealthy body fat and replace it with lean muscle. Participants are also urged to lead by example, showing friends, co-workers and families that a healthy lifestyle can lead to positive changes in all aspects of their lives. Phillips is the former chairman and CEO of EAS and the author of the best-selling health and fitness book “Body for Life”.

    Between the Macy’s Believe and Thanks for Sharing programs, Macy’s donates more than $10 million to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America to be disseminated to all chapters with Macy stores in their geographic area. Macy’s is Make-A-Wish Foundation’s largest sponsor, and has made wishes come true for thousands of children over the years.

    When added up, Disney’s support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation exceeds $7 million annually, with a majority of this support coming from the free admission of wish families at its theme parks.

    Starz Entertainment and its employees have been making dreams come true for 13 courageous wish children and their families annually since 1999. Not only does Starz and its employees completely underwrite the cost of these 13 wishes each year, they host a fabulous party for the "adopted" families unmatched by any other Adopt-A-Wish sponsor.

    Midas’ Denver area stores, 22 locations along the Front Range, are teaming up with the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Colorado to grant the wish of a six seriously ill children in their area every other month in 2009! All told, more than $117,000 in wishes have been granted with the help of Midas’ Denver store owners since January 2008.

    UnitedHealth Group has formed a national alliance with Make-A-Wish Foundation® to support the nonprofit’s mission of granting wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. During the next two years, UnitedHealth Group intends to grant 600 wishes to children throughout the nation and in Colorado.

    For seven years the Learning Care Group®, including La Petite Academies, have hosted a Fall Festival to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation by helping make dreams come true for some very special children.

    Maggiano’s has supported Make-A-Wish for five years through their “Eat-A-Dish for Make-A-Wish” promotion each Spring, as well as donating all Maggiano’s booth proceeds from the Taste of Colorado.

    For the past eight years, Cold Stone Creamery has been a national partner with Make-A-Wish, raising more than $3 million with its "World's Largest Ice Cream Social" event held simultaneously at the more than 1,500 franchise locations throughout the United States. In 2008, Cold Stone’s parent company, Kahala, involved their four other franchise brands including, Blimpie, Samurai Sam’s, Great Steak & Potato and TacoTime to continue Cold Stone’s legacy of raising money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

    Since 2004, DEX Media has been a sponsor of the Make-A-Wish Golf Classic, our annual gala, Frank's Ride, The WASA Kickball Tournament and other events. DEX Media also generously provides ad space in its print and online directories.

    T.G.I. Friday’s raises money for wishes through restaurant-level auctions and fundraising held in conjunction with T.G.I. Friday’s World Bartender Championship.

    Klabzuba Oil & Gas is part of the Klabzuba Group of Companies owned and managed by the Klabzuba family in Fort Worth, Texas. The Denver office is an ongoing supporter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Colorado, most recently sponsoring the 2010 Sporting Affair Celebrity Waiter Dinner.

    As part of its "Let us work for you; we can help others together" initiative, True North Capital Group donates a portion of its clients' quarterly advisory fees to one of five nonprofit organizations, including the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Colorado, based on client preference. True North Capital Group’s Gary and Lorena Poling also serve the Make-A-Wish Foundation as volunteer wish grantors.

    Valpak of Denver supports the foundation through in-kind inclusion of Make-A-Wish promotional materials in mailings that reach nearly 1 million households from northern Colorado to Colorado Springs.
