Testimonials

Make-A-Wish Foundation of Colorado works hard to ensure that each child receives his or her true wish and that each wish is special and is nothing but pure magic. Having granted more than 2,500 wishes since our beginnings in 1983, we have touched thousands of lives over the years. Read what some of our wish families say about their experiences:

"I cannot tell you how happy Maddie was during the trip- no doctors, no worries, not even a thought about treatment until we arrived back in Colorado on Saturday when she started planning for Monday's treatment-- not even a word spoken about it which was a miracle for all of us. We took the time to enjoy each other without worries, without a thought about the year we had come through and what we still faced. It's hard to put into words what that means to me, my husband and Maddie. Days of fun, silly things, great food, great friends- old and new ones and no thoughts or worrying about the future and what could be and needs to be done. The people who helped us, the new friends we made on the trip and to see Maddie smiling almost every waking moment is more than I could ever have hoped for."

"Thank you so much for helping to brighten Kyla's life and aid in her journey toward healing. Your efforts mean so much to all of us and we want you to know how very special the Make-A-Wish Foundation is to us. You are angels."

"Thank you all so very much for making Josh's wish come true. We all had a fantastic time! Your concern for taking care of every detail did not go unnoticed. We appreciate all your hard work to make this a very special and memorable trip which will be etched in our memories forever."

"My favorite part of the wish was seeing Katrina's face light up when she met Ariel from the 'Little Mermaid,' her favorite princess in the whole wide world. I cried seeing her be able to have this experience after all that she went through with her radiation and chemotherapy treatments. I can't even begin to explain how grateful we are that Make-A-Wish Foundation went to these extremes to make Katrina's wish come true and all the wishes for other children who have life-threatening illnesses."
